lovers hidden above the city

After an argument almost sent me home, we made up over a bottle of Cava on ice.

Then he led me onto the roof.

We climbed past the dividers and slipped between vast solar panels holding the last heat of the Athenian sun. Hidden there, we undressed beneath the moon, the temple glowing on the hill and the city humming below.

Around us, windows flickered and a cigarette burned on a nearby balcony.

The whole city was within sight, while we disappeared between the panels.
